I wasn't too thrilled when it started snowing - - I was getting ready for spring! Ha, winter just started! It snowed for 12 hours straight & then we received a lovely dose of freezing rain/sleet making the roads OH SO FUN (ha!). My office ended up sending us home early Thursday afternoon & shut down for Friday. Pretty excited for some snow time with my girls!! Here's a few photos I've captured!

This little guy's momma received a newborn gift certificate! He was supposed to arrive mid-December but decided to arrive 3 months EARLY! We decided to keep a mid-December session (he was my last session of 2011!) since he was so tiny. When I met him he was a little over 7lbs, crazy since he was almost 3 months old! At first he slept pretty well & didn't mind me moving him around but once he was awake, he was VERY alert & ready to party!

Hooray! We're expecting a new bundle!! Our family of 4 is going to be a family of 5 early June!! I love being able to document my pregnancy & cherish every tiny moment with this seedling in my belly. Here are a couple of photos that I took at 18 1/2 weeks. In a few short days we will be finding out what we are having! Everyone is thrilled!

For future clients/sessions this means I will be taking maternity leave from approximately the end of May to the beginning of July but it all depends on when Baby Bateman decides to grace us with his/her presence! I plan on taking between 3-4 weeks off.

Oh how I love taking baby photos, especially this age, the 6-9 months age group is just so much fun. They can sit, they smile, they are just happy happy babes! This is my friend's 2nd daughter, I took her momma's maternity photos & took her newborn photos at just 11 days new. Its amazing to watch her grow!!

So far I haven't had the honor of photographing any engagement sessions so I was thrilled when I found out several months ago that my sis-in-law was getting married!! Who better to practice on then family, right!? We had to reschedule this session from last weekend due to icky weather. About an hour before the session, the clouds started rolling in & I was getting bummed that it'd be another reschedule! We stuck with it & made it work even though it was a tad chilly (depends WHO you ask!) and fairly windy! I am very pleased with the results though. Their wedding date is set for 9.10.11 ~ Easy to remember date!! My little girls are their flowers girls! :) Cannot wait.

Awww, he was a total dream baby!!!! I wasn't sure how this session was going to go as I was half way to their house when I realized I forgot my beanbag (which is a major deal since that's what I pose baby on) but my hubby ended up bringing it! So while I was waiting for hubby, we started the session out with the milk crate & he did awesome. The session only got better after that! I was sweating bullets but baby Ronan was super happy in dreamland! You will also see more of this lil man as he is my 3rd baby plan member!

Little Logan was the very first baby I photographed & photographed and photographed some more :) His mamma had faith in me from the get-go & I'm excited to see where I've come from that very first post to now! When I first started working at the PA's office Cari was struggling to have a baby & now we chat constantly at work about motherhood & our babies. It's amazing how much your life changes in just a short year! I'm sure she hardly remembers what life was before Mr. Logan!

Busy Busy Bee!

Wow, this summer has been busy!! Working full time with a side photography biz & two little little ones is hard work!! I'm excited for the coming holidays and excited to spend quality time with my family. I have met so many wonderful people over the last few months. December 23rd will mark the 1st anniversary with my camera and the day that an interest turned into an obession!

We originally wanted to do this shoot in a rye field with my mom's 1930's couch but we ended up having to relocate the shoot. I cannot believe Mr. Logan is 8 months old!!! His last appearance in front of my camera was here for family photos. He was also one of the first babies I photographed when I first got my camera, here. Definately have come a long way since then! This little gal went RIGHT to sleep, I don't think I spent more than 10 minutes getting her settled down. She even gave me a sweet dreaming smile. She was incredibly easy going!! I hope to be invited back for more photos down the road.

Wow, oh wow! This little man has some lashes!! He is such a sweetie. Mom informed me that he is currently sleeping through the night (did I mention he is only 16 days old??? I NEVER got that lucky with mine!) so he wasn't too keen on sleeping for me... but I finally got him to dreamland & captured some sweet photos. Enjoy your sneek peek of your little man...

Both mom & I were a bit nervous about how Miss "G"'s session would go as a week after her birth, I was out of town and now she's 16 days old. But much to my surprise, she was an absolute dream baby to work with!! She slept very well!! I even got to do some black background nakie shots! Thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your sweet baby girl! I hope to see more of her in the future.

My newborn session on Saturday was cancelled & my session this morning was also cancelled.... so to tame the need & want of taking photos of little ones, I turned to AVA!!! I just LOVE this age. 6 months is just so fun to photograph. They can lay on their bellies & hold themselves up & they can sit up on their own. I love catching Ava's many smiles. She can be in a cruddy mood but as soon as I grab the camera she's ready for her close up! :0)

Wow, what an adorable family of 4!! The little girl was totally enjoying having her pictures taken! While we were walking around the gardens trying to find a good spot, she'd jump into an area & say I want my picture here!! :0) I totally enjoyed taking their photos!!

I have photographed baby Logan before but his mamma (also my co-worker) decided they were much overdue for some family photos! Logan is truly a blessing to this beautiful couple. He is definately a long awaited dream & now they are finally a precious family of 3!!

Man oh man, we had a bout of that Norovirus that's going around in our household. Eeek! It started out with me & then went to my husband & my oldest daughter on the same day!! Then on Thursday, I had to go to work so I left my daughters with Grandma....I ended up coming home to take care of the hubby & Audrey only to find out the next day my poor mother in law was down with it too! So glad that it's over though!! I have a few pictures of Ava to post......

And of course, a picture of Audrey (notice her back is towards me!!)

She is at the age where she wants to dress herself. Too bad she forgot her pants!

Mr. M returns {3 months}

The first time I took Mr. M's photos, he was only about a month old (here).... now he is 3 months!! I can't believe how much he has grown! He still has his gorgeous dark eyes & dark hair. In 10 days my Miss Ava Grace will be 6 months old!! I cannot believe it. I kept saying she'll be 5 months but oh no, she'll be 6 months, half a year! Oh my! She is now able to semi-sit up on her own, as long as you help her get into that position. She is not crawling (thank goodness!) unlike her big sister, who crawled at 6 months! I think part of me wants her to be a baby longer unlike with Audrey I was always pushing her to do this and that because I was excited and impatient. :0)

I think Audrey is really starting to enjoy Ava. Finally, she's interacting with her & they babble at each other!!! Yesterday, I was so in love with the light that I just HAD to take some photos. Of course right?! And I caught a few sweet moments between them. So precious.

It's official!! Miss Audrey Nicole is 2 years old!! I am still in a bit of denial.... can't believe it's been 2 years.... she's such a riot, I'm loving every minute of this age. One day she just decided, "today I will start talking" Not just words here and there, oh no, sentences. She catches me off guard sometimes with the randomness that comes out of her mouth!
